DTF - Direct-to-Film printing

is a digital technique where designs are printed onto a specialized PET film and then transferred onto fabric or other substrates using a heat press. The process involves printing the image in reverse with a white ink underbase, applying a heat-activated adhesive powder to the wet ink, and curing it in an oven to create a durable, flexible transfer. Unlike other methods, DTF does not require fabric pre-treatment and is highly versatile, working effectively on cotton, polyester, nylon, and even hard surfaces like wood or glass. It is particularly popular for small-to-medium orders because it handles complex, full-colour designs with sharp details while remaining more cost-effective than traditional screen printing for low volumes.

UV DTF printing
is a hybrid technology that combines the high-quality finish of UV-curable inks with the transfer flexibility of DTF. Unlike standard DTF, which uses water-based inks and requires a heat press for fabric, UV DTF uses a UV printer to print designs directly onto a specialized "A" film, which is then laminated to a "B" adhesive film. This creates a "cold transfer" sticker or wrap that can be hand-applied to almost any hard surface, including glass, metal, ceramic, and plastic, without needing a heat press or oven. It is highly valued for creating durable, scratch-resistant, and water-proof labels with a "raised" 3D effect, making it a go-to for customizing promotional items like tumblers, phone cases, and trophies.
